Rewriting your recovery.

The Concussion Naturopath wasn’t created just as a clinic.  It was built as a response. The response to people being told that rest was their only option. The response to concussion being treated as a moment in time, instead of a biological cascade.

This isn’t just recovery support.  This is concussion care that finally connects the dots.

Louise Cork | Clinical Naturopath BHSc

I specialise in concussion recovery because I've watched it undermine the health of people I love, and because I saw a gap in care that needed filling. My clinical approach connects the dots between brain, gut, hormones and beyond.

I stopped accepting "wait and see" as an answer

I stopped accepting "wait and see" as an answer

A woman in a beige blazer and rust-colored top is pouring liquid from a small amber bottle into a glass bottle in her hand. She is smiling and standing in front of a display of other bottles on a black shelf, with a black container holding small jars and a decorative glass bowl with ice nearby.

Concussion began showing up in my clinic in ways no one expected it to. Clients arrived with gut issues, mood shifts, crushing fatigue, skin inflammation, hormonal imbalances — symptoms that appeared months or even years after the injury.

Again and again, I found myself asking the same question:

“Have you ever had a concussion, a head trauma or played contact sport?”

The answer was yes, far too often to be coincidence.

When we mapped their health timeline, the pattern was unmistakable:
Injury → symptoms → gradual decline → confusion or dismissal.

Then one day, I watched a footballer go down after what looked like a minor knock and it all clicked into place: We are deeply underestimating the biological impact of concussion.

It wasn’t that recovery was impossible, it was that no one was explaining what was actually happening.

So I built The Concussion Naturopath to change that.

I don’t just work with concussion, I’ve lived in the gaps it leaves.

I’ve watched my brothers, my husband and even myself navigate symptoms that didn’t fit neatly into any single box.  Fatigue that wasn’t fixed by sleep, anxiety that wasn’t just psychological, gut issues that didn’t fully respond to diet alone. All separate on paper and yet deeply connected in the body.

That experience didn’t just shape my career it shaped my conviction. And it lead me to creating The Concussion Naturopath to support your recovery.

I believe evidence belongs in everyday language.  I believe care should feel both clinical and compassionate. And I believe people don’t recover when they’re simply reassured, they recover when they finally understand what’s happening in their body, and are given the right tools to support it.

That’s why I founded The Concussion Naturopath, not to replace conventional care, but to finally complete it. This work is where physiology meets lived experience, and next level naturopathic care. Where research meets empathy.  Where people stop guessing, and start recovering with clarity, agency, and direction.

Experience Meets Accreditation

BHSc (Naturopathy)
NHAA (Naturopaths and Herbalists Association Australia)

As a clinical naturopath, I do not replace emergency medicine, imaging, or specialist-neurological care. I support what happens after. I provide evidence-aligned interventions that complement your medical treatment of the systemic mechanisms of concussion, Where physiology  is still disrupted, symptoms linger, and healing needs deeper direction.

When I’m not deep in neurological research or clinical planning you’ll find me…

  • The gut-brain-axis is one of the single most important considerations in concussion care. Precise understanding of the microbiome and how to facilitate its optimisation is the expertise of the concussion naturopath

Naturopathy is built for conditions that cross multiple systems, don’t fit neatly into one diagnosis, and require both time and targeted intervention.

Concussion is exactly that kind of condition.

We are trained to understand complex physiology, inflammation, functional testing, gut/hormone interactions, mitochondrial health  and how these systems influence one another.

This isn’t about rejecting conventional care — it’s about finally completing the picture.

CLINICAL, COMPASSIONATE, CONNECTED

My Approach to Your Care

  • Understanding what’s happening in your body is the first step to changing it. I explain physiology in human language, not medical shorthand, so you know why your symptoms exist and how we can begin to resolve them.

  • I don’t prescribe hope. I prescribe clinically justified interventions, guided by physiology, functional testing and clear treatment rationale  so every step has intention.

  • You shouldn’t have to choose between approaches. I work alongside your doctors, physiotherapists, neurologists and sports professionals so we address every layer of recovery.

  • Understanding what’s happening in your body is the first step to changing it. I explain physiology in human language, not medical shorthand, so you know why your symptoms exist and how we can begin to resolve them.

  • I bring clinical expertise, but you bring something essential… YOUR lived experience. Your perspective, intuition and knowledge of your body shape every treatment decision we make.

  • I fight for the people who’ve been dismissed, ignored, or told there’s nothing more to be done. Every client, every paper, every podium is a platform for change.

You’re not stuck… You just need a more holistic plan

Recovery Takes time. There are no shortcuts, and I am not here to replace your doctors or specialists.

I am here to offer you evidence-led naturopathic care that supports conventional medicinal approaches. Clear Explanations and Practical Strategies to support your bodies healing capacity. At the end of the day, I truly believe your symptoms aren’t asking for more time, they’re asking to be better understood.
