Terms and Conditions
The Concussion Naturopath
Last updated: 30 April 2026
These terms set out the basis on which I, Louise Cork, trading as The Concussion Naturopath (78778191238), provide naturopathic services to you. By booking an appointment, completing an intake form, or engaging my services in any other way, you agree to these terms.
Please read them carefully. If anything is unclear, please contact me before booking.
1. About my services
The Concussion Naturopath is an online clinical naturopathic practice dedicated to systemic concussion and post-concussion syndrome recovery, with a particular clinical focus on the gut-brain axis. All consultations are conducted via telehealth. I see clients across Australia, and internationally by arrangement.
Naturopathic care is a complementary form of healthcare. It is not a substitute for medical diagnosis or emergency medical care. I do not diagnose concussion or any other medical condition. My role is to support your recovery through individualised, evidence-informed naturopathic care that complements the medical and allied health care you are already receiving.
I am a qualified clinical naturopath and a member of NHAA.
2. Booking appointments
Appointments can be booked through the online booking system on theconcussionnaturopath.com. From time to time I may accept bookings made directly by email.
All bookings are confirmed only once payment has been received and you have received a confirmation email from me or the booking platform.
3. New client information
New clients are required to complete the new client intake form a minimum of 24 hours prior to the first consultation. The intake form is detailed because thorough preparation is essential for a high-quality first consultation.
If you have relevant pathology, imaging, specialist letters, or hospital discharge summaries, please upload them or email them to me at least 24 hours before your appointment.
If the intake form is not received in time, I may need to reschedule your appointment to ensure I can prepare properly.
If you have a cognitive impairment or any other condition that makes completing the intake form difficult, you are welcome to involve a trusted family member or support person, with your consent. Please let me know in advance if this is the case.
4. Telehealth requirements
Because all consultations are online, you are responsible for ensuring you can participate effectively. Please make sure you have:
A reliable internet connection
A device with a working camera and microphone
A private, quiet space where you will not be interrupted
Access to the secure zoom link, which will be sent to you ahead of your appointment in your booking and reminder emails.
If you experience technical difficulties at the start of or during a consultation, please contact me by email or phone as soon as possible. I will work with you to either continue the consultation by phone, complete it later in the same session, or reschedule to a mutually convenient time at no additional cost.
If a technical issue is on my end and the consultation cannot be completed, you will not be charged, or you will receive a full reschedule or refund as appropriate.
5. Payment for services
All appointments booked online are payable upfront at the time of booking. Your booking is not confirmed until payment has been processed.
Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, and any other methods supported by my booking platform. Payment plans may be available by prior arrangement for ongoing care packages.
Pricing for each service is displayed on the booking page at the time of booking.
6. Refunds and your consumer rights
Each consultation involves significant preparation on my part, including reviewing your intake form, prior history, and any pathology or reports you have submitted. For this reason:
Payments for services are non-refundable for change of mind
If you cannot attend an appointment, please reschedule rather than cancel, in line with the rescheduling and cancellation policies below
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund or other remedy if a service is not provided with due care and skill, is not fit for the purpose I represented to you, or is not provided within a reasonable time. If you have a concern about the quality of a service I have provided, please contact me first so that we can try to resolve it.
7. Rescheduling appointments
I understand that life happens, particularly when you are managing the symptoms of post-concussion syndrome. To reschedule an appointment, please give as much notice as you can. I ask for a minimum of 48 hours where possible.
Rescheduling with 48 hours or more notice: free of charge, and I will work with you to find a suitable alternative time
Rescheduling with less than 24 hours notice: may be subject to a rescheduling fee equivalent to 30 percent of the appointment fee, at my discretion
Genuine emergencies, including a sudden worsening of your concussion symptoms, are considered on a case-by-case basis and a rescheduling fee will generally not be applied.
8. Cancellations
If you need to cancel rather than reschedule:
Cancellations with 48 hours or more notice: a full refund will be issued, less any non-refundable transaction fees charged by the payment processor
Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice: the first late cancellation in a calendar year will be subject to a 30 percent fee. Any further late cancellations within the same calendar year will be subject to a 50 percent fee
Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice or failure to attend: the full appointment fee will be retained
Genuine emergencies are considered on a case-by-case basis.
9. No-show policy
If you do not attend a scheduled appointment and do not contact me in advance, the full appointment fee will be retained. I will email you to check that you are well, and to invite you to rebook.
10. Confidentiality
Everything we discuss in consultations is confidential and is handled in accordance with my Privacy Policy, which is available on my website. There are limited circumstances in which I may be required to disclose information without your consent, including:
Where disclosure is required by law, including under court order or subpoena
Where I form a reasonable belief that disclosure is necessary to lessen or prevent a serious threat to your life, health or safety, or to the life, health or safety of another person
11. Recording of consultations
I do not record consultations as a routine practice. If at any point recording is proposed, whether by you or by me, it will only occur with the express, written consent of both parties. Please do not record any part of a consultation without my prior agreement.
12. Scope of practice and clinical limitations
Naturopathic care is complementary to, and not a replacement for, conventional medical care. The following are outside my scope of practice:
Diagnosing concussion, post-concussion syndrome, or any other medical condition
Prescribing or adjusting medications prescribed by your doctor or specialist
Providing emergency medical care
Replacing the care of your general practitioner, neurologist, sports physician, or other treating practitioners
I will always encourage you to maintain your relationships with your medical and allied health team, and where appropriate I may recommend that you seek further investigation or care from another practitioner.
13. Medical emergencies
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, do not contact me. Call 000 (in Australia) or your local emergency number, or attend your nearest emergency department immediately.
Warning signs after a head impact that require urgent medical assessment include, but are not limited to: severe or worsening headache, repeated vomiting, seizures, confusion or disorientation, slurred speech, weakness or numbness in any limb, loss of consciousness, or any sudden change in your symptoms.
Telehealth is not appropriate for emergencies. If your symptoms deteriorate suddenly, please seek urgent medical care first, and we can debrief at our next scheduled appointment.
14. Communication between appointments
Brief clarifying questions between appointments are welcome by email and I will do my best to respond within a reasonable time. Detailed clinical questions, symptom changes, or new concerns are best addressed within a scheduled consultation, where I can give them proper attention. I do not provide clinical advice via social media direct messages.
15. Intellectual property
All content I provide as part of your care, including treatment plans, written summaries, educational handouts, and any digital products, is for your personal use only. It remains my intellectual property and may not be reproduced, shared, or distributed without my written permission.
16. Changes to these terms
I may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in my services, technology, or legal obligations. The current version will always be available on my website. The date at the top of this document indicates when it was last updated. Material changes will be communicated to existing clients.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
